As a married woman with two grown children, I’m very aware that most lives include surprises, both good and bad, along with trauma or life stressors. When that happens, it is up to each of us to support ourselves to the best degree possible and that often means seeking outside resources for advice, counsel, or to just listen. I help my clients find healthy perceptions of themselves so they can feel safe and whole, and better deal with life’s challenges.

Different people like different things…in other words, one approach is not going to fit for everyone so I use an eclectic strategy in therapy and have also been trained in Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Hypnotherapy.

After working in operations my early years, I was drawn to revisiting my educational goals, so I returned to school and earned a B.A in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. I then went to work in the helping field but quickly determined I wanted to do more and started to pursue my master’s degree. While I did that, I gained experience working at the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities as well as the Arizona Vocational Rehabilitation Department. Following my degree, I became licensed and earned certifications for Clinical Trauma Professional and Shame-Informed Treatment specialist and have worked in both the private practice and community behavioral health settings.
